Mallorca, Alcudia, El Jardin

Mallorquin cuisine distilled down into the finest elements, and then given Michelin star treatment. The restaurant is quite and chilled out, the food is amazing. Great wine list, and a very knowledgable sommelier who used to work in the Pont Du Tour (Don’t remind him)

Mallorca, Alcudia, Lovento

By the commercial port, very popular with locals and off the beaten track. The menu has all the old favourites on it such as paella, steaks and fish. They are all very well done, starters like depp fried baby squid with garlic are outstanding. If they have John Dory on have it, it is sublime.

Mallorca, Alcudia, El Terazzo

Behind Alcudia old town on the way to the Alcanada golf course. The front entrance is nondescript , the restaurant is nice, but the terrace is what you go for. Overlook the bay of Alcudia and have scallops next to the sea.

Barcelona, Carballeira

Will there be oysters? Yes there will, and octopus a Feira, and boquerones (Vinegary anchovy fillets), and Jason Iberico, and Percebes. (Goose barnacles, a real taste of the seas). Fill up on loads of appetisers and then have the typical Galician desserts. A very Spanish restaurant, book for later in the evening and enjoy.

Barcelona, Arola

Michelin starred tapas in a five star hotel. The chef trained under Ferran Adria (Every chef in this town did), great wine list and a DJ. I know, a DJ but I have spent a marvellous evening eating the patatas brava, drinking fabulous Mallorca red wine and listening to jazz played by a DJ half my age!

Mallorca, Pollensa, Eu Centro

Some great Mallorquin food here, have the Frito Mallorquin as a starter, and the kid leg as a main. Great value and great cooking
