Kent, Seasalter, The Portsman

Yes there will.  Grotty pub by the sea, not a bit of it. Fantastic location next to the seas and superb food. The tasting menu is excellent value, as is the short but very interesting wine list. Book well in advance, it is well worth the wait.

Kent, Fordwich, Fordwich Arms

Yes there will. Excellent riverside pub with outstanding food and a Michelin star to boot. Great tasting menus with local produce and home made bread.

London, Le Dame de Pic

Posh hotel in the City of London, not cheap but well worth the money. Ann-Sophie Pic has three Michelin stars in her restaurant in France. Only one star here, but some of the dishes are straight off the three star menu. Great desert!!

Cumbria, Cartmel, L’Enclume

Through a set of circumstances that I won’t go into, I ended up eating the tasting menu here twice in one weekend. It can’t be long before they get a third star here, imaginative, foraged food,

Cambridgeshire, Cambridge, Midsummer House

Another two star restaurant that must be on the verge of getting a third one. Excellent food, great presentation. Thankfully the tasting menus are back.

Gloucestershire, Cheltenham, Le Champignon Sauvage

One of my favourite restaurants, in a lovely destination. The food is an excellent standard, quietly efficient service and great food, I have no idea why they lost a star!!
